Macel Loudin, Founder of Loudin Insurance Agency, Inc.Loudin Insurance Agency, Inc. is the oldest locally owned independent insurance agency in Upshur County, West Virginia.

Loudin Insurance was established in September, 1969 by Macel Loudin when he purchased the Thrash Insurance Agency, whose roots could be traced back to 1912.  After purchasing Thrash, Macel Loudin changed the name of the James L. 'Mac' McGraw company to Loudin Insurance Agency, Inc.  

Upon Macel's retirement in 1976, James L. 'Mac' McGraw purchased Loudin Insurance.  In 1981, Loudin Insurance opened an affiliate office in Elkins, WV.  Bruce Stoneking was the agent and office manager for that office.

In December 1997, Mac McGraw sold the Elkins office upon his and Stoneking's pending retirement to another company.  He sold the Buckhannon office to the current owner, William 'Bill' Hamilton.

Bill Hamilton, present-day owner of Loudin Insurance Agency, Inc.On June 1, 2001, Loudin Insurance purchased the Marlin R. Loudin Insurance Agency.

Under Bill's management, Loudin Insurance continues the company tradition of offering customized insurance programs to fit each individual's needs.  Bill stresses the importance of offering a quality product at the best possible rate.
